As they entered the office building, they were guided to the top floor through the lift. Haris was once again shocked by the fabulous interior of the lift. When they reached the office room, they heard a loud voice. Fiza was shouting at an employee named Anaya.
"Where is the design, Anaya?" Fiza's voice rang out, filled with frustration.
"I am sorry, ma'am. The design is not yet ready. I know I am late," Anaya replied meekly.
Fiza cut her off sharply, "Oh, you know you're late, but you haven't completed the work yet? How can you be such an idiot? Don't you have any sense that you need to do your work on time? Competitions are on the way, and I am getting such silly excuses. Now just get lost and complete it by tonight, and no excuses again."
Anaya left with a sad face, clearly affected by the scolding. Her colleagues looked on, hearing everything. Fiza then instructed the worker there to call her mentor, Gurpreet Kaur.
"Ma'am, someone is here to meet you. They were talking about some organization donation," the worker informed Fiza.
"Oh yeah, send them in. And just call Gurpreet ma'am," Fiza replied. Meanwhile, Haris and Aditya entered. Haris was a bit surprised to see her. She really had a pretty face, but she was rude and arrogant. Aditya, on the other hand, was drawn by the beauty of Fiza's friend, Rhea, who had messaged him for the meeting.
Just then, Gurpreet entered and asked Fiza why she had shouted at Anaya. She reminded Fiza that Anaya was a good designer.
"Fiza, why did you shout at her? You know she is a good designer," Gurpreet said.
"I know, ma'am, but you know we have to be a bit strict with the freshers so they can grow further. I agree the design done by her is the best, but how can she be so careless that the design is not yet ready? Please just make her understand that to stand out from everyone, you need to work hard. And take a look at all the designs of them. The competition is very near, and you know very well that I can't lose to them. Just ask everyone to focus," Fiza explained.
Gurpreet nodded, "I will do that. But what's disturbing me is that when you are so serious about the competition, why do you hire freshers?"
"Because I don't want their dreams to be thrashed out like mine did a few years ago. I want them to shine and stand out from everyone," Fiza replied passionately.
Meanwhile, Haris, overhearing their conversation, was a bit confused about her character. He wondered if she was really arrogant or if there was more to her than met the eye.
"Am I judging her too quickly? Ah, leave it. I guess it will take time for me to understand her," he thought to himself, shaking off his confusion.
